<p> A Night in Red got delayed, and this is an interlude! Laura was only slightly
</p>
<p> tweaked thus far. This interlude has more hints and tips, and fix bugs on Aurora
</p>
<p> as well as rewording several stuff. <b>Realm of Drops</b> skill was added: Now
</p>
<p> you'll get warranted drops as you kill monsters, reducing the effects of PRNG.
</p>
<p> <b>Kreist Daily Quest</b> was entirely reworked, and defeating a boss now plays
</p>
<p> out a fanfare (but only some boss!) Boss Raid and Dream Towers events were
</p>
<p> tweaked. You need less intelligence to learn magic. <b>Connor</b> is more
</p>
<p> generous giving coal. More drops for mobs above level 100. Iced Bottle now
</p>
<p> heals a tiny bit. These Quality of Life changes makes an <b>Interlude in Red</b>.

<p> Pixies now drop Chicken Legs, and Monster King aggro rules changed.
</p>
<p> Savior Helmet can be crafted and savior set was buffed. Warlord Grieves gained
</p>
<p> a new spritesheet. Treasure Chests were improved. Treasure Maps have changed.
</p>
<p> Refining Savior or Legendary items no longer may lose levels (but may break).
</p>
<p> Maya now reports item combos. You can now unearth hidden dungeons.

<p> merge which was still incomplete. Travel to the past and unravel misteries!
</p>
<p> But that's not all, <b>Crafting</b> was updated and boots added, and equipments
</p>
<p> can also be bought on shops. Canyon now has hints to reach both Halinarzo as
</p>
<p> Pachua's Village, Tulimshar Mines got a few new quests, and <b>Healing</b> items
</p>
<p> received a buff. Nightshade Tea now last much longer, and several minor
</p>
<p> improvements were also done (not to mention the new maps).
</p>

<p> With so many tiny updates, the Monster King soon shall have nowhere to flee.

<p> Reaching Halinarzo from Tulimshar just got more challenging, but a few new

<p> content was added, including a permanent, <b>passive</b> boost to walk speed.

<p> The penalty on two handed weapons like <b>Broadsword</b> has changed from agility to
</p>
<p> dexterity, which should increase their final damage over time.
</p>
<p> Also, I can smell <b>Honey</b>, something sweet was updated! Several new items
</p>
<p> are now also dropped.

        <title>The Fate of the Beta Server</title>

Today is a sad day. We were informed not long ago that our previous VM burned down, 
and with it, the player data. We have already restored most of our services, but 
our offsite backups were both too old to be restored, as well as the scripts 
meant to keep an up-to-date offsite backup either stopped working or never worked 
in first place.
</p>
<p>
Thankfully, this incident happened while we are <b>still on beta</b>. We will be 
rewriting the offsite backup scripts and updating them. The stable server release 
schedule has been anticipated, and the release meant for January 2022 might be 
still this year, possibly in May 2021.
</p>
<p>
We would also like to thank everyone who supported us and decided to stay with us 
even with the incident. The main server links (<i>server.moubootaurlegends.org</i>, 
<i>server.tmw2.org</i> and <i>saulc.servegame.com</i>) are now pointing towards 
the event server we've set for Fires Of Steam event, which is now the Beta server. Newly created accounts will start with level 80 and some gear, as well as 
bypass equipment restriction, as part of the event, but this starting bonus will 
not remain for too long, and will likely be gone next week.
</p>
<p>
If you haven't decided yet to play Moubootaur Legends, now might be the best time 
to do so if you want to start a bit overpowered at the begin.
</p>

<h1><font color=blue>Compensation Schedules</font></h1>
</center>
<p>
For our old players which decide to remain with us, we'll be handing out 
Fire Scrolls, the proof of survival of a great fire, to all of them. Please 
contact staff to obtain these. The limit is one scroll per account.
</p>
<p>
Also, <b>we are capable to do apparent partial restoration</b> for some items, 
levels, rebirths, job level, crafting levels, etc. - manually. These are not 
precise, equipments do not include options, and we're relying on good faith of 
our great community. Abusers trying to gain advantage will forsake the right for 
this. Keep in mind this is apparent and relies on the data we've collected from 
screenshots and more; And we won't restore everything so the beta server can 
still be used for balancing.
</p>
<p>
This procedure is manual, and you'll have to contact a staff. Having screenshots 
can be handy as this allows us to get more precise values, but they're not 
required as we have some of our own. 
</p>
<p>
As for money and monster points, all participants will receive 1 million once 
Fires of Steam event is concluded. With this sudden money reset, some overpriced 
NPCs (<i>stares at Ihclot and Salohnic</i>) had their prices sanitized.
</p>
<p>
Otherwise, if you prefer, you can wait for the stable server release. We'll keep 
everyone posted on its ETA!
</p>
<p>
PS. <b>Beta server data cannot be ported to stable server.</b> The stable server 
will begin from the day after the Monster King layed siege to Hurnscald, which 
event was concluded roughly three years ago.
</p>
<p>
PPS. The Moubootaur asked to inform he was unaffected by the fire! Only lesser 
beings like the Monster King are now toast. Lightbringer has also survived. They 
won't be taken down by a fire, we need real legendary heroes to defeat them!

<p>We are currently facing a major incident in our DataCenter of Strasbourg with a fire declared in the building SBG2.<br/>
Firefighters were immediately on the scene but could not control the fire in SBG2.<br/>
The whole site has been isolated, which impacts all our services on SBG1, SBG2, SBG3 and SBG4.<br/>
If your production is in Strasbourg, we recommend to activate your Disaster Recovery Plan.<br/>
All our teams are fully mobilized along with the firefighters.<br/>
We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.<br/>

<p>
<b>We believe all player data has been lost.</b> Due to the age of our backups,<br/>
and the approach of Steam Release, we <b>will not</b> attempt to restore them.<br/>
Instead, we'll dedicate on the Stable Server release.

<p> Two handed swords and spears no longer inflict the dextry malus - Spears even
</p>
<p> increase your hit chance! Does not applies to scythes, lightsabers, etc.

<p> A new potion which makes you auto-revive has been added, and Elixir of Life
</p>
<p> will also have this effect for a while. Splash Damage can now be added on armor
</p>
<p> if you're very lucky, and it'll stack, but each will lower damage in 15%.

<p> If you don't use splash damage as a splash attack, you'll be considerably weaker.
</p>
<p> More vaults were added for the thief class as well, and a new quest in Hurns.
</p>

<p> Sorry that we need to nerf things to make the game more balanced.

<p> The better balance it have, the more strategy and hopefully, more enjoyable.

<p> as now players will receive honor points for killing players stronger than them

<p> - And by strong I don't mean only level. All <b>Helmets</b> recipes are now

<p> available, and <b>Tolchi</b> learnt a few... Useful tricks on tweaking items!

<p> And yes, these tricks are powerful for new players. Seniors can now welcome

<p> anyone starting on the game with <b>@welcome</b> command, which will warp them.

<p> We also fixed several bugs, and rewrote entirely <b>Bracco</b>, from Nivalis

<p> Also, <b>Blacksmith Axe</b> was improved - It not only can be tweaked freely, but

<p> it can hold two cards and attack scales. We also improved the <b>AFK Zone</b>

<p> on Tulimshar; You can now get exp by idling up to 30 min - this goes up to 2h.
</p>
<p> Be warned, though: Even AFK'ing is a profession on ML. Being the AF King will

<p> require a lot of skill if you ever want this title.

<p> and you can now make <b>Dwarven Sake</b>. If you want to level up with a decent
</p>
<p> speed, alcohol is the way to go. (Don't ask, it is not meant to make sense)

<p> From <b>Nov 1st to Nov 30rd</b> we'll be holding our <b>Thanksgiving event</b>.
</p>
<p> You will be able to "pick" a random card with awesome prizes once, every day.
</p>
<p> The more cards you "pick", the better the rewards will be, so keep logging in!

<p> Also, sieges will be cancelled if no one can react.
</p>

<p> Besides a quasi-infinite number of bugfixes our players are very well aware,

<p> unfortunately for everyone, the <b>NPCs</b> are slowly arriving, meaning it
</p>
<p> will be a wasted voyage, unless you are so desesperate to see a new map, I guess...
</p>
<p> You'll see some awful maps on the way, because lack of polishing - all of those

<p> will be fixed on next release however.

<p> Another great spotlight is the <b>Guild Hall</b>. It is in the Land Of Fire
</p>
<p> Village, and contains the Guild Storage and other amazing guild features.

<p> We also prepare to introduce <b>Alchemy</b> and <b>Smith</b> systems, but meh,

<p> where are the recipes? A good thing we have John H to blame Saulc for us!

<p> Since a while ago, we have <b>Variable EXP</b> depending on monster level difference
</p>
<p> to yours. If you kill a strong mob, you'll get more exp! But if you decide
</p>
<p> to level up on MAGGOTS, they'll give you less experience, to discourage botting.
</p>
<p> which is allowed, as long that not AFK. You can also use <b>@tutorial</b> to
</p>
<p> learn the stuff you skipped, <b>Blacksmith Axe</b> was remastered, several quests
</p>
<p> were polished and there is a couple of new ones. Lots of <b>Polishing</b> was
</p>
<p> done. You can now learn <b>parum</b> as soon as you get magic, there is a crocotree
</p>
<p> in tulimshar which looks buggy, Estate Doorbells are working again, Peter

<p> slow. Zitoni is also <b>crafting new kinds of potions</b>. And experimental

<p> stuff was added on main server, for the best <b>event experience</b>.

<p> Max level is now 45. Max job level is now 25. Some NPCs moved from here to
</p>
<p> there, and there was <b>a marriage</b>, but unfortunately, ended up in divorce

<p> in less than 20 seconds. These people... They probably were just testing code,

<p> later. You will need to explore huge, deadly canyons to reach it.

<p> impressive but is worth it.

<p> What time is best for an update, other than friday? In this release, you have

<p> an extra job level. Various item prices were rebalanced to fix Zeny Exploits.

<p> Extra quests were added to Candor and to the Ship, and both Elmo as Nard received
</p>
<p> rewrites so game is easier to understand for newcomers.

<p> The way how Nard calculates ship travels has changed, talk to Elmo while in
</p>
<p> Candor and he'll inform your progress. <b>Translations were updated</b>, if you
</p>
<p> are not happy with them, <a href="https://transifex.com/arctic-games/moubootaur-legends">translate them</a>!

<p> Note only server-data resource translations will be accepted.

<p> Game rules were changed, you have been notified by that via email.

<p> that. Candor Nurse and Dan got new quests, and some monsters changed. Gift
